Last year, the brewing community came together in a spectacular way when the Camp-Fire devastated northern California, working together in the form of the Resilience Beer project. Country Malt Group, Great Western Malting, and Canada Malting Co were proud to take part in the fundraising to support those impacted by the destruction.
Over the course of the last several months, a series of bushfires located across New South Wales and South Australia, resulted in over 32 deaths, 2,000 homes destroyed, 7.7m hectares burned, and 1 billion animals lost. Our sister companies in Australia, Cryer Malt & Barrett Burston Malting, have pledged to support the victims, and are taking part in the Australian Resilience Beer project — Country Malt Group, Great Western Malting, & Canada Malting Co are proud to join them.
If you are interested in supporting the Resilience Beer project, Country Malt Group will be providing a coupon towards the cost of ingredients, to be used on a future order. The Resilience Pale Ale recipe can be found HERE — to help brewers decide on appropriate North American ingredients to use in the recipe, we’ve outlined a few possible choices.
This effort is currently open to join, however the window for signing up closes on February 21 — to participate, please sign up with the Australian Resilience Beer project and have your order submitted to Country Malt Group by February 21. When placing your order to brew the Australian Resilience Pale Ale, please submit your order by phone or email, and please note the batch size of the Resilience Pale Ale brew.
